Talk Dirty To Me ;)

Get your mind out of the gutter!
Us Crimson Ladies are classy...
But when it comes to our hair, the dirtier the better!

There are multiple reasons as to why we love dirty hair but we've narrowed it down to the top 3!

1.) Perfect canvas for Up-do's
2.) When curling your hair, the curls hold so much better
3.) Messy Hair = Sexy Hair

We understand why dirty hair can scare people in to washing it as soon as humanly possible, but we believe that with dirty hair, different styles are more attainable! You have the opportunity to work with your hair and challenge yourself to new hairstyles that you wouldn't normally do with freshly washed hair. When you come in for a hair cut, of course we will have you leaving with a killer blow out, however, you can prolong the life of that blow out and also switch up your look.

When working with dirty hair, yes, it is no secret that hair can be oily, but with that comes our secret weapon!

hairpowder & dryshampoo

Many times it's personal preference, but they both accomplish the same goal, which is to absorb oil and create texture!

1.) Just sprinkle or spray and wait a couple minutes.
2.) You can rub your scalp with the pads of your finger tips
and if you're able to you can brush it.
3.) Style!

Sometimes, because the finish of dry shampoo and hair powder tends to be matte, we like to pair it with another product for some shine and flexibility. For shorter styles, Semi-sumo tends to be a favorite! This product is a light weight pomade that provides a light sheen. For longer styles, Grooming Creme can be worked from the mid shaft to the ends for a smooth finish. A couple products that we like regardless of length are Brilliantine and Hairdresser's Invisible Oil.

(But just remember, a little goes along way!
You can always add extra product.
It's a lot easier to add then to take away.)

Spray some hair powder, tousle with your fingers and tie it up into a messy top knot! Remember, it isn't supposed to be perfect! As one of the most popular sex icons, Marilyn Monroe said, "Imperfection is beauty."

This style is perfect for wavy and curly tresses! After rubbing the scalp with dry shampoo and a head flip or two, there will be some volume at the crown. This is a style where you wouldn't want to brush the dry shampoo through the hair because that would compromise the wave and curl. Secure the side pony tail but allow a few face framing pieces. This simple side pony tail can add a touch of elegance and romanticism to any look!

This is such a simple look that can be created with dry shampoo, a tousle of the head and natural center part. This is bed head at its finest! For the look to the right, the only extra step is to curl random sections and separate with your fingers.

This is classic up-do that is perfect for day or night! Gather your hair in a regular pony tail (the more bumps and fly aways the better)! Twist the pony tail and pin the hair into a bun. For a classic approach, use a thin to medium width head band, but feel free to mix it up with a lace headband to add a feminine touch, or leather or mixed metal head band for an edgier look! You can also adjust the placement of the bun depending on your mood, style, or event.

This is just a collage that we found that featured a  bunch of looks that we are obsessed with! If you have fine hair, dry shampoo and hair powder will definitely help with increased volume and texture but we also advise to use a 1"-11/2 curling iron and wrap pieces in random directions. Separate with your fingers. You can tease the hair at your crown and take the pieces of hair near your temples and roll them away from your face gathering more hair as you go. Pin behind your ears and leave the rest of your hair down OR you can do a braid OR a low messy bun! The opportunities are endless!

This look is a sweet style that is easier to recreate  then you would expect! Section you hair evenly onto two sections. Afters braid each side and secure with an elastic. Feel free to pull on random sections of the braid and mess it up a little. Take the one braid and place it directly on top of your hair and pin. Repeat with the other side and voila!
